rose, milk and honey
one of my favorite things to do when i am online (or trying to avoid my take-home brit lit final exam) is surf www.tastespotting.com. however, today is not like any other day, because today i found something that looks absolutely awesome: a half liquid, half gel-like treat.
i love roses and i love cooking with rosewater, cosmetics that embody roses i.e. rose salve and drying roses. i am definitely going to try this when i get home (i leave friday!) and will report back with hopefully wonderful results.

for my twentieth birthday, my girlfriends, boyfriend and i went to the melting pot. we ordered the yin & yang (the fondue pictured below) and s’mores.

my future colocataire et moi posed by a pretty fountain at the plaza.
the girls treated me to a pedicure. i chose OPI’s “lucky lucky lavender” from the hong kong collection, and i believe it looks wonderful! a bright lavender creme.

in other news, my french oral exam is tomorrow.

i am hoping this will go well. i also just signed up for next semester’s classes, which includes French II, brit literature from 1800-present, Poetry II, French Culture (may replace it) and Intro to Anthropology. I need a good pud class though. At the University of Illinois there is a new course called “History of Chocolate”. Oh, my state university, what will you think of next?

i would love more than anything to go to this patisserie one day.
